There are two main ways to search Cass County court records. Online access through MCRO is the fastest option for basic case info. In-person access at the Walker courthouse lets you view full case files and request copies the same day. Both methods cover civil, criminal, family, and other case types handled by the 9th Judicial District.
The Minnesota Court Records Online (MCRO) system at publicaccess.courts.state.mn.us is the state's public access portal. It covers all Minnesota district courts including Cass County. Documents filed before July 1, 2015 may have limited online availability.

Cass County Court Record Fees
Most records at the Cass County courthouse are free to view in person. The public access terminal at the courthouse is free to use. If you want paper copies, the fee depends on whether you need certification.
Uncertified copies of court documents cost nothing. Certified copies run $14 per document. If you need an exemplified and certified copy, the fee is $28. Scanning fees apply at $25 per 50 pages. For most general records requests, uncertified copies are enough unless you need to use the document for a legal purpose like a name change or mortgage application.
