Cook County District Court

The Cook County District Court is located at the county courthouse at 411 West Second Street in Grand Marais. Entry is through the main door off the parking lot. A public access computer for viewing court records is available inside the courthouse. Self-help center services are also accessible remotely by calling (651) 435-6535, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cook County is the northernmost county in Minnesota and sits along the shore of Lake Superior up to the Canadian border. Because of Cook County's remote location, the 6th District operates a centralized copy center in Two Harbors that serves people who cannot easily travel to Grand Marais. The copy center handles requests for certified and uncertified court document copies from Cook County cases. You can mail your written request or call ahead to ask about the process.
